![]() reading your OP more carefully, are you trying to keep all 8 characters leveled, instead of just focusing on 4 characters? This may not be the best approach. So was this the reason the game was so divisive? I started the game with Ophilia, and she's my most powerful character, but does there ever come a point where I don't have to have her in my party? I seem to be locked to have her be there just because I started with her. I am utilizing the break mechanic, and the boost, but still it's quite annoying. Is there some mechanic I don't know of here that I'm not utilizing. Now the good news is if the level requirements stay similar to how they were for Chapter 1 in scale, then once I do this I'm done.but then I likely have to repeat this process for Chapter 3, and so and so forth to the end of the game. Just to be able to take on chapter 2 of ONE CHARACTER, I have to grind a lot. Killing them takes a LONG time, and I still have to make sure the weaker characters are alive at the end or they get NOTHING, and the whole battle was a waste. Sometimes I'll hit for more than 100, but it's pretty few and far between. Half the time the fights aren't too bad, the other half I get these fucking Snow Yaks that take double digits damage AT MOST from the weaker characters I am trying to level up, even fully boosted after breaking them. ![]() I am currently grinding in that area East outside the town for Primrose chapter 2. Given the weakness mechanic, the former isn't exactly viable, so it's time to grind. So now my options are to either exclusively use only half of my characters, or grind. Where I proceeded to get my ass kicked because very few of my characters were high enough level to do it, especially the last ones I did for chapter 1. I wanted to do Primrose's second chapter first, so I went through the story stuff for that and got to the dungeon. My first instinct was to not listen to that and just go find a way through anyway. ![]() ![]() The second chapter recommends your characters be a certain level before taking them on. I keep remembering why every time I do: the grind requirement, or at least what I understand as one. I finished the first chapter of every character, then I have kind of picked it up off and on since then. I got the game around Christmas and loved the beginning of it. I know I saw another LttP thread about this game recently, but I felt like that one didn't talk about my biggest beef with the game. ![]()
